It started with a little dog named Hank.

Hank was a long-legged chihuahua — big ears, cream coat, way too much attitude for something so small. He was also anxious. He'd growl when you reached to pet him — not because he was mean, but because the world felt like a lot for a dog his size.

Loving Hank meant learning him. Reading him instead of forcing him. And somewhere in that, something clicked: when you understand a dog, everything softens.
